Our stay at the Hotel Capricorno in September was quite good. The staff was kind and friendly. The rooms are a bit on the small side, but it’s typical of European hotels. The room and the bathroom were spotless, and the bed was comfortable. The water flow in the bathroom was great, and the shower blasted out the water! Also, the bathroom had lots of fresh towels.
There were a few spots on the carpet but not a big deal. The rug is light in color, so it shows stains easily. The wireless internet was high-speed and extremely reliable. High-speed Internet is a must for me when traveling as all my travel plans and Goggle Maps are online, and I upload my photos from the days sightseeing adventures to my online account at the end of every day.
The hotel room was located on the back of the hotel facing the parking lot, so it was tranquil at night. The air con worked well, and the morning breakfast selection was adequate (strong coffee with cream and sugar, Love It!). The location was great and close to all the public transportation offerings.
The hotel does not have any power converters for your power equipment so bring a converter if you need to charge a laptop or camera batteries. I booked the room through booking.com and paid around $100 per night. I would recommend lodging here. I would stay again if I come back to Vienna. To get to the hotel from the Vienna Airport, take the airport expresses bus to Schwedeplatz for 6 Euros. The hotel is located two blocks from the bus drop-off point. Ask the bus driver; he can point you in the right direction.
